Join us for a unique event featuring three speakers who are fascinated by the connections between Industry and Art.
With a wealth of Art History knowledge, Adrian Sumner will take us through some engaging examples of Artists who have taken inspiration from the world of industry as their subject matter.
Inspired by the local salt mining industry, artist Rebecca Gouldson will share an illustrated sneak peek at the construction of Northwich’s new public artwork for the Barons Quay development, which she designed and is currently making in her studio.
Also inspired by local industry, Northwich Painter Diana Bernice Tackley will share fascinating insights in to the ideas behind her beautiful paintings, including the painting ‘Nightshift’ which was featured on BBC2 programme ‘Show me the Monet’ in 2012.
This event is being organised by Nick Hughes at DAN Community, Cheshire West and Chester Council, and Rebecca Gouldson.
