We pop into the historic City of York to grab some lunch and soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful city, perhaps with time to explore one of the many attractions on offer.

After lunch we move on to Beningborough Hall (NT).
Surrounded by parkland, with riverside and woodland walks on all sides, the view of this large Georgian mansion as you turn on to the long drive evokes images of an intriguing past. From the wealthy teenager who inherited it, to the hall’s use as an RAF billet, Beningbrough has been shaped for more than 300 years by the people who lived here.

The architecture, intricate panelling and furnished ground-floor rooms tell the story of the families who called Beningbrough home. The spacious and light-filled Saloon Galleries display exhibitions of contemporary and historic art. New for 2020 will be the Arts Council Collection In the moment: The Art of Wellbeing, including works by Emin, Moore, Lowry, Hirst and Chagall.
