We start by visiting Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds. The Corinium Museum houses highly significant finds from the Roman town of Corinium, plus Neolithic, Anglo-Saxon, Medieval and Modern items.

After lunch we visit Rodmarton, the Arts and Crafts House. Ernest Barnsley, together with his brother Sidney, who designed most of the furniture, built Rodmarton Manor. He was a follower of William Morris, who was one of the leaders of the English Arts and Crafts Movement towards the end of the 19th Century.

The 8-acre garden has a wide selection of planting that has been done over the years with superb vistas and views throughout and plenty of places to sit and admire the view. Each part has a different character ranging from the alpines in troughs, bigger plants in the rockery, lawns, a large kitchen garden, white borders, to the magnificent herbaceous borders which are constantly being replanted and improved.
