Sunny is renowned for her role as Lilian Bellamy in the BBC Radio Four series The Archers. Dorothy couldn’t be more different from the gin soaked, man hunting Lilian. Sunny’s interpretation of a somewhat overbearing Northern woman incorporates every aspect of the life of “ladies of a certain age” with brilliant observational humour but also moments of real pathos.
This show could be said to have echos of Victoria Wood’s comic creations together with the poignancy of Alan Bennet’s Talking Heads. A standing ovation greeted the first performance of this one woman show at Davenham Players Theatre.
“An incredible performance by the ultra talented Sunny Ormonde, Amazing writing from Jane James and Excellent direction from Sue Wilson” Susi Osborne,Northwich Lit Fest Organiser.
“Jane James is a marvellouslly funny, clever and thoughtful writer” Janet Ollier, Goostrey Goosefest Director
